Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, has appointed Samia Almudhareb as the new Country Manager for Cyprus, effective November 2025.
Almudhareb joined Emirates in early 2024 as Commercial Support Manager, following a four-month attachment at the airline’s Vietnam Station, where she supported the commercial operations team. Prior to joining Emirates, she held several roles within the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), where she gained extensive experience in engineering, sustainability, and asset management.
A graduate of Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Almudhareb also holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Systems Management from the American University of Sharjah.
“It is a great honor to take on this new role and represent Emirates in Cyprus,” said Almudhareb. “Cyprus is a dynamic and promising market, and I look forward to continuing to strengthen our presence and deliver exceptional experiences to our customers, while further developing business opportunities for the airline.”
In her new role, Almudhareb will be responsible for managing Emirates’ commercial and operational functions in Cyprus, overseeing sales and service operations across passenger, cargo, and airport activities.
Emirates currently operates a daily direct flight from Larnaca to Dubai and Malta with Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, the largest passenger plane operating in the market. Through its Dubai hub, Emirates offers Cypriot travellers connections to an extensive global network covering more than 150 destinations across six continents.
