MetLife Cyprus is has announced the appointment of Panayiotis Demetriades to the position of General Manager.
Demetriades, who is already Vice President and EMEA Actuarial Modeling Lead, will assume leadership of the company in Cyprus from 1 July, 2026, in addition to his existing duties.
With more than 25 years of experience in the insurance and financial services sectors, Demetriades possesses strong technical training, international experience and proven leadership skills, the company's announcement said.
It went on to note that, with a presence in Cyprus for more than seven decades, MetLife has consistently supported individuals, families and businesses, helping them protect what is most valuable to them.
Under Demetriades' leadership and in alignment with MetLife's New Frontier strategy, the company will continue to build on this legacy by accelerating digital transformation, further strengthening distribution networks, upgrading customer experience and investing in innovative protection solutions that meet evolving customer needs and support sustainable growth in Cyprus, the announcement said.
