Papadatos has many years of experience in the field of auditing and financial services. He served as a Director at the auditing firms Arthur Andersen and Deloitte in London, while he subsequently worked at the auditing firm KPMG in Cyprus as an Audit Manager, specializing in the audits of financial and insurance companies.

In 2006, he joined the Hellenic Bank Group in the Financial Department and, in 2009, he was appointed CFO of Hellenic Alico Life Insurance Company Ltd. In 2016, he assumed the duties of General Manager and Executive Member of the Board of Directors of the same company. He became General Manager of Hellenic Life in 2021, a position he held until assuming his new duties at ICPAC.

Papadatos has signed the Employment Contract with ICPAC and officially assumes his new duties on 1 May, 2026.

In his statement, the President of ICPAC, Odysseas Christodoulou, stated, "I wish dear Andreas every success in his new duties. I am certain that with his experience, knowledge and ethos, he will contribute substantially to the further development and strengthening of our Institute. I assure him that he will have both me personally and all the Members of the Council by his side, as supporters and collaborators in the demanding but particularly important work he is undertaking."

Papadatos' assumption of the position of General Manager marks a new chapter for ICPAC, with an emphasis on the continuous upgrading of the profession, strengthening confidence in the market and dynamically responding to the challenges of the modern economy, the announcement said.

"ICPAC expresses its certainty that, with the collective effort and guidance of the new General Manager, it will continue to strengthen its role as an institutional pillar of credibility and professional excellence in Cyprus," it concluded.
