OPAP Cyprus, a member of the Allwyn group, has made a significant change to its administrative structure, assigning lawyer Panayiotis Georgiou to the role of Legal Manager, with responsibility for overseeing the legal arm of the company's activities in the Cypriot market.
This specific reinforcement is part of the broader plan implemented by the CEO, Alexandros Davos, to lead the organisation into a phase of developmental transformation and full compliance with the regulatory environment. The new Legal Manager has extensive experience in commercial and corporate law, as well as in compliance issues, with an emphasis on the proper harmonisation of the company's operations with the strict requirements of the National Betting Authority.
Prior to assuming the position, Georgiou had, among other positions, served as a senior associate at the law firm Pyrgos Vakis LLC, while previously he had also participated in the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) department of the Cyprus Bar Association.
This choice reflects the commitment of Davos and the management team to utilising executives who combine in-depth knowledge of the Cypriot reality with Allwyn's international operating standards and best practices.
