Thursday, 15 January, was a landmark day for Della, seeing her win an award industry insiders say will change Cypriot music as we know it.
As noted in a relevant press release from Louvana Records, not only is Della the first Cypriot in history to be nominated for a Music Moves Europe Award but she has also become the first to win a jury award and receive the highest recognition for an emerging artist in Europe. "This is no small feat - her win has put Cyprus on the international music map and has paved the way for the future of independent music on the island," the press release continues.
Della and her team attended the awards ceremony in Groningen, The Netherlands on Thursday along with the other 14 nominees that were handpicked and nominated for the Awards.
Right after securing her win, she performed at ESNS festival at Lutherse Kerk, a fully-packed church in the heart of the city.
"Along with her band, they performed an exceptional set of music, including her newest single ‘waste’ that is now available on all streaming platforms," Louvana Records notes
