Pavel Shynkarenko, CEO & Founder of Mellow.io, says now is the perfect time for young entrepreneurs to bring their business ideas to fruition. This, he says, is because they have a lot of tools now to help validate their hypothesis faster and cheaper. “And I think that window will be open for a couple of years,” he adds, explaining that huge corporations will step in and make things harder.
Elaborating, Shynkarenko said, "In previous years, you needed a software development team, or a lot of managers to develop the MVP (Minimum Viable Product) product. But nowadays you can do that with the right coding from scratch, within a couple of weeks or months, and receive the first small product just to validate your hypothesis faster and easier."
Shynkarenko was speaking to CIM-Cyprus Business School’s CEO Yangos Hadjiyannis about establishing his company’s headquarters in Cyprus and his advice to young entrepreneurs, in the Trailblazers Podcast series by payabl., part of INSPIRE 2025.
Revealing, among other, why he chose Cyprus over a decade ago to build his global company, Shynkarenko reveals that low taxes, financial infrastructure, the legal system and of course, location, were all high on the list. But what really tipped the scale in favour for the island was “to bring new people here”.
