Founder of Lois Buiilders, Sotos Lois, has died

Cyprus’ construction sector and the wider local business world is mourning the loss of Sotos Lois, the founder of Lois Builders, and for many years Chairman of the Federation of the Building Contractors Associations of Cyprus (OSEOK) and Deputy Chairman of the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB).

The news of the death of Sotos Lois was announced by OEB’s Director General, Michael Antoniou, expressing the Federation's sincere condolences to the family of the deceased.

"Cyprus bids farewell to one of its greatest builders, a historic figure and, for me,a guide and mentor. May your memory be eternal, Mr. Soto Lois," wrote Antoniou wrote in a second post.

In its own post on social media, OSEOK said the Asociation and the construction sector of Cyprus were saying goodbye to a great man and pioneering professional.

"Sotos Lois, founder of Lois Builders and for many years Chairman of OSEOK, served the industry and the business community of Cyprus with dedication, vision and ethos. His contribution to our Federation and his legacy to the construction sector remain indelible. OSEOK expresses its sincere condolences to his family and loved ones. May his memory be eternal," the post states.

Lois’ funeral will be taking place on Wednesday, 11 June at 4pm at Constantinou and Eleni’s Church in Nicosia. His family has requested that donations be made to the Red Cross in lieu of wreaths.
