Cyprus road freight down 9.7% domestically, up 3.4% internationally in Q4

Road freight transport in Cyprus decreased by 9.7% in the fourth quarter of 2024 compared to the same period in 2023, according to Cystat.

In contrast, international freight activity showed resilience, with the weight of goods transported from and to Cyprus increasing by 3.4% in the fourth quarter year-on-year.

For the full year 2024, however, the road freight sector registered overall growth. The total weight of goods transported domestically rose by 3.2% compared to 2023, while cross-border freight volumes increased by 2.0%.
