The total loan portfolio of the Credit Servicers (CSs) and Credit Acquiring Companies (CACs) sector in Cyprus amounted to €19.276 billion at the end of June 2026, with the sector’s non-performing loans (NPL) ratio standing at 94.6%, according to updated aggregate data published by the Central Bank of Cyprus on Monday.
According to the CBC, the sector’s total loan portfolio stood at €19.276 billion in contractual balance terms, of which €9.345 billion related to households, €9.205 billion to non-financial corporations and €726 million to other financial corporations.
The sector’s NPL ratio stood at 94.6%, remaining broadly unchanged compared with March 2026.
The net book value of the loan portfolios stood at €2.671 billion on June 30, 2026.
The total number of borrowers amounted to 62,771. The majority were households, with 53,494 borrowers, followed by non-financial corporations with 9,214 borrowers and other financial corporations with 63 borrowers.
Meanwhile, the number of properties held by CACs decreased from 8,014 in March 2026 to 7,714 in June 2026. Their open market value also declined, from €968 million to €918 million.
