With a presence in Cyprus since 1994, Emirates has formed a strong and long-standing relationship with the Cypriot market.
As reported by Emirates Airport Services Manager at Larnaka Airport, Mohammed Zamzam (, in almost 32 years the airline has carried more than 2.1 million passengers on 17,270 flights, connecting Larnaca directly with Dubai and, through its international air hub, with a particularly extensive global range of destinations.
Emirates currently operates seven weekly flights between Larnaca and Dubai, offering passengers from Cyprus access to nearly 140 destinations across six continents. Zamzam highlights Dubai’s geographical location as a significant advantage, as it allows for efficient connections to Asia, Australia, Africa, the Middle East and other international markets, while strengthening Cyprus’ tourism, business and trade relations with the rest of the world.
He also places particular emphasis on Emirates' daily operations at Larnaca Airport, while explaining why Emirates ' presence in Cyprus is not limited to passenger transport.
