Kanika Hotels & Resorts has announced the completion of an extensive upgrade and expansion of the leisure and recreational facilities at its renowned Olympic Lagoon Resort Ayia Napa, ahead of the Summer 2025 season.

The resort, already celebrated for its luxurious offerings, will now present an even richer and more diverse holiday experience tailored to adults, families, and children alike.

The improvements and expansion include, among other things, an adults-only swimming pool, new pool bar, an extensive increase in the five-star resort's leisure spaces, an extension of its garden spaces, and other upgrades and additions.

Serenity οasis pool for adults only

Central to the transformation is the introduction of the Serenity Oasis Pool—an adults-only infinity pool crafted to provide a tranquil sanctuary for guests aged 18 and above. Nestled within a newly created secluded landscaped area, the Serenity Oasis Pool is a haven of peace, featuring integrated hydrotherapy elements that promote relaxation and wellness. The space also incorporates a quiet zone for sunbeds.

The pool’s design includes a quiet sunbed zone, offering guests a refined environment for unwinding away from the hustle of family activities.

This addition brings the total number of swimming pools at Olympic Lagoon Resort to eight, with three dedicated exclusively to adults and five designed for families and young children, emphasising the resort’s commitment to catering to varied guest needs.

Enhancing the new pool area, is the Serenity Pool Bar—its second upscale poolside lounge. Recognising the increasing demand from families for more inclusive leisure spaces, Kanika Hotels has undertaken a significant expansion of family-oriented pools and sunbed areas. This expansion includes repurposing a pool previously designated for adults, now fully adapted to meet family needs.

The redesigned zones feature dedicated sunbed areas tailored for parents and children, maximizing comfort and convenience. Overall, the resort’s recreational spaces have grown by approximately 40%, allowing all guests greater freedom to relax, play, and enjoy their time in a spacious, welcoming environment.

Over 4,000 sq.m. in nature

Adding to the resort’s natural beauty and wellness focus, over 4,000 square meters of new landscaped gardens have been carefully developed.

This verdant expansion includes a dedicated yoga and meditation area designed to promote mindfulness and balance amid serene surroundings. More than 3,000 new trees, shrubs, and flowering plants have been planted, creating lush green corridors and enhancing the resort’s tropical atmosphere. Expanded garden pathways connect key leisure spots such as the Serenity Oasis Pool, the renovated Lazy River, and the new sunbed relaxation zones, inviting guests to explore and reconnect with nature.

At the same time, the iconic Lazy River, a favuorite among guests, has been completely renovated to elevate its appeal. Featuring premium ceramic tiling and enriched landscaping, the revamped Lazy River now boasts a more immersive lagoon-inspired environment.
