Pancyprian Retail Trade Association (PASYLE) has issued a clarification regarding the public holiday tomorrow, Saturday, 17 January due to the funeral of former President of the Republic, George Vassiliou.
Due to the confusion that has been created among the consumer public, speaking to InBusinessNews , PASYLE General Secretary Marios Antoniou stated that the holiday only concerns the public sector, clarifying that the entire market will work normally on Saturday.
"The entire market, including supermarkets, shopping centres and malls, will remain open, with regular Saturday hours," he pointed out, noting that the private sector, inclduing commercial stories, will not be affected by tomorrow's public holiday.
