Cyprus' Foreign Minister, Constantinos Kombos, and Vice-President of the European Commission, Kaja Kallas, have held a phone conversation with the Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani. Κοmbos and Kallas also had a phone conversation with the FM of Israel, Gideon Saar.
The College of Commissioners paid Cyprus a two-day visit on Thursday and Friday, 15 and 16 January, as the island holds the Presidency of the Council of the EU.
Kombosand Kallas discussed regional developments with the Foreign Minister of Bahrain, also within the framework of the efforts by the EU and by the Gulf Cooperation Council to help achieve stability and security through dialogue and diplomacy, Kombos posted on X.
As regards their phone conversation with the Foreign Minister of Israel, Gideon Saa, Kombos posted on X that they underscored the importance of diplomacy in de-escalation and the need to preserve regional security and stability.
