Infocredit Group, in collaboration with Mastercard, hosted the webinar “NIS2 & Third-Party Cyber Risk: From Requirements to Continuous Monitoring” on Monday, 26 October 2026, bringing together professionals from Cypriot businesses and organisations to discuss the evolving cybersecurity landscape and risks associated with suppliers and third-party service providers.
The initiative forms part of Infocredit Group’s commitment to helping organisations strengthen risk management, operational resilience and regulatory readiness through technology solutions and international partnerships.
Cybersecurity Is Now a Strategic Business Responsibility
As organisations increasingly depend on interconnected digital systems and external providers, cyber risks extend beyond internal IT infrastructure. The EU NIS2 Directive emphasises cybersecurity governance, management accountability, risk management and supply-chain security for organisations within its scope.
Jenny Marmarinou, Operational Risk Manager at OMAS Solutions, outlined key NIS2 requirements, including essential and important entities, management responsibilities, cybersecurity risk-management measures and incident-reporting obligations. She also introduced the Digital Security Authority’s self-assessment tool and Cyprus cybersecurity funding opportunities for eligible SMEs.
From Periodic Assessments to Continuous Cyber Risk Monitoring
Silviane Cornut, Director, Cybersecurity Partnerships Europe at Mastercard, explained how vulnerabilities affecting suppliers and business partners can threaten an organisation’s operations and resilience. She outlined a structured approach involving supplier identification and classification, initial assessments, continuous monitoring, remediation prioritisation and management reporting.
Participants also saw a live demonstration of RiskRecon by Mastercard, which helps organisations assess and monitor the external cybersecurity posture of suppliers and other third parties. The webinar was moderated by Marinos Georgiou, Cybersecurity Solutions Consultant at Infocredit Group.
Infocredit Group: Supporting Stronger Cyber Resilience
Theodoros Kringou, CEO of Infocredit Group, stated:
