Hermes Airports participates in Routes Europe 2025
12:51 - 12 June 2025

As Hermes Airports estimates that an increase of more than 5% in passenger traffic for the whole of 2025 will be recorded this year, with the total number reaching 13 million passengers, it, at the same time, is continuing its efforts to develop new routes and increase the frequency of existing ones, to markets with growing demand.
As part of its continuous and targeted efforts to enhance air connectivity, Hermes Airports participated in Routes Europe 2025 for another year. One of the most important international conferences in the field of aviation and airport development, the event was this year hosted in Seville, Spain.
Routes Europe is held annually, bringing together representatives of airlines, airports and tourism organisations, offering a unique platform for networking, presenting new opportunities and supporting the development of new routes. It is essentially a major gathering of most industry players.
During the three-day conference, airports and destinations present their products, their strategies for driving demand and the markets that show potential for route development to airlines operating around the world. Hundreds of air carriers choose to participate in the conference with the aim of identifying the next “golden” opportunities for developing their destination network.
Through one-on-one meetings with airline representatives, Hermes Airports presented, with in-depth data, the good prospects of Cyprus as a destination which can be included in the programmes of air carriers on a year-round basis.
At the same time, visitors to the Cypriot airports' pavilion this year had the opportunity to get to know our island and get a taste of the authentic experiences it offers through an interactive game.
In addition to the meetings and presentations of business and other data, the aim was to make airline representatives understand, in a more vivid way through images, why Cyprus can be an ideal choice in their destination network, and one which can be popular with the passenger public throughout the 12 months of the year.
Hermes Airports’ presence at Routes Europe is another action that ensures the high visibility of the destination and frequent personal contact with airlines, towards finding new points of cooperation, develop new routes and increase the frequency of existing ones, resulting in further strengthening the island's air connectivity.
