Prosperity Group says it is ready to continue the development of Larnaca Port and Marina

Prosperity Group CY Ltd has reiterated its readiness to continue the development of Larnaca Port and Marina with a view to its successful completion as approved and licensed by the state.

On the occasion of the publication public opinion survey conducted by CMRC – Cypronetwork Ltd in December 2025 regarding the continuation of the development of the Port and Marina of Larnaca, Prosperity Group CY Ltd has expressed its satisfaction and welcomed the clear will of the citizens of Larnaca for the project to immediately be continued from where it was left off, as shown by the results of the survey.

Cypronetwork (member of the Cypronetwork group, Cyprus Association of Opinion and Market Research Enterprises SEDEAK and European Society for Opinion and Marketing Research ESOMAR), a company with experience in the field of polls and research since 1987, captures the views of citizens on one of the most important – if not the most important – development issues for Larnaca and for Cyprus in general.

In summary, the research reveals, among other things, the following:

(a) 68% of respondents believe that, provided that the required specifications and guarantees are met, the government should proceed immediately with the revival of the project.

(b) 59% believe that the development of the Port and Marina should continue from where it stopped, while only 27% believe that it should be completely redesigned.

(c) 89% estimate that the expansion and upgrading of the port upgrades the city to a very large or large extent.

(d) 76% of participants estimate that the termination of the contract will delay the development of Larnaca, compared to only 8% who believe that it will accelerate it.

(e) 93% of participants estimate that the project will contribute to increasing tourism and attracting new investments

(f) 92% of participants estimate that the project will contribute to job creation

(g) 89% of participants estimate that the project will contribute to the infrastructure and overall image of the city, in view of the declaration of Larnaca as the European Capital of Culture in 2030

(h) 88% of participants estimate that the project will contribute to the economic development of the province

(i) 86% of participants estimate that the project will contribute to the cultural development of the city

"It is now clear from the results of the survey that the overwhelming majority of Larnaca citizens support, understand the benefits and wish for the project for the development of the Larnaca Port and Marina to return to implementation, thus reinforcing the necessity of examining the proposal of Prosperity Group CY Ltd for the revival and continuation of the project from where it left off," concludes Prosperity Group CY Ltd, which once again declares its readiness to continue the project with a view to its successful completion as approved and licensed by the State.
