Larnaka Airport welcomes the trophy and mascot of FIBA EuroBasket 2025

Hermes Airports recently welcomed the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 trophy and mascot to Larnaka Airport.

In collaboration with the Organising Committee of FIBA EuroBasket in Cyprus, Hermes on Monday, 26 May proudly welcomed the prestigious trophy along with Marky Mark, the mascot of the largest sports event to be held in Cyprus.

Passengers, visitors, Hermes Airports staff, and other members of the airport community had the opportunity to take photos with the trophy and mascot, which are currently touring Cyprus. Delighted by the surprise and the unique opportunity, many came face to face with the trophy that Europe’s top national basketball teams will soon compete for, capturing the memorable moment.

As noted in a press release, this initiative is part of Hermes Airports’ collaboration with the Organizing Committee of FIBA EuroBasket in Cyprus. The airports are fully prepared to welcome international basketball stars to Cyprus this August and, thanks to special arrangements already in place, will offer them a warm and memorable first impression of the island’s renowned hospitality.

Additionally, under the agreed arrangements, team delegations will receive top-tier service during their journey through the airports, enabling them to remain focused on their goals.

Fifteen tournament matches will be held in Cyprus, with the national teams of Greece, Spain, Italy, Georgia, and Bosnia-Herzegovina arriving through the country’s airports. Cyprus will proudly host one of the groups of this premier European basketball competition.
