RIF announces consultation on a €10m programme for the creation of facilities and production lines

The Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) has announced the start of the consultation process for the new financing programme 'STEP: Setting up of facilities and production lines for manufacturing new innovative products/services.'

The Programme is aimed at Cypriot businesses of all sizes and has a total budget of €10 million. The goal is to support businesses with the aim of developing critical technologies and creating facilities and production lines for new innovative products, in the following sectors:

  • Ultra-advanced and digital technologies
  • Clean technologies
  • Biotechnologies

The Programme will be announced on the basis of EU Regulation 2024/795 “Establishing the Strategic Technologies for Europe Platform” (STEP) and the consultation is being conducted following a market sounding conducted by the RIF, exploring the interest of Cypriot companies in creating facilities and production lines.
