Sophic has secured over 80% of the latest issue of Republic of Cyprus T-bills for its clients

Sophic, the innovative investment platform provided by Athlos Capital, is continuing its efforts to offer Cypriot citizens the opportunity to invest in Cyprus Treasury Bills.

During the auction of the Republic of Cyprus Quarterly Treasury Bill (GD) held on Monday 16 June, 2024, Sophic and Athlos Capital secured more than 80% of the total €21.5 million issued to be made available to their clients. These DGs carry an annualised yield of 3.74% and are available to retail investors and businesses through Sophic, a relevant press release notes.

"The yields offered by the DGs of Cyprus and other European countries are particularly attractive to non-professional investors and companies looking for optimal ways of managing their liquidity in an environment of persistently low deposit rates. As with previous editions, the largest percentage of Cypriot DGs has already been allocated to our clients, while the remaining amount is expected to be exhausted through transactions by Sophic in the coming days", commented Ioannis Petri, CEO of Athlos Capital.
