‘Aphrodite’ development and production proposal submitted to government

The consortium managing the ‘Aphrodite’ natural gas field has submitted its proposal to optimise the agreed Development and Production Plan of the field within the time frames.

This was confirmed in a Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry statement on 2 April.

The consortium consists of the companies Chevron Cyprus Limited, NewMed Energy Limited Partnership and BG Cyprus Limited.

"The Ministry will evaluate the submitted proposal together with its advisors and will inform the licensed consortium accordingly," the statement notes, adding that "in the meantime, the Ministry does not intend to make any further public statements on the matter.”
