OSCE Special Representative on Mediterranean Affairs visiting Cyprus

French Senator Pascal Allizard, Special Representative on Mediterranean Affairs for the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), and Vice-Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Armed Forces of the French Senate, is in Cyprus for a three-day visit.

He arrived on the island on the evening of 10 March at the invitation of the Vice-President of the OSCE PA Irene Charalambides.

A House press release said in the context of his visit, Allizard, accompanied by Charalambides, will be received by President Nikos Christodoulides and will have separate meetings with Minister of Defence Vasilis Palmas and Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry George Papanastasiou.

Allizard will also visit the ceasefire line in the old part of Nicosia and the Makedonitissa Tomb, as well as the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre in Larnaca.
