CUT's Nursing Department included in the 201-300 2024 Shanghai Ranking

The Department of Nursing at the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT-TEPAK) is ranked among the top 201-300 worldwide in the 2024 Shanghai Ranking, CUT said in a press release.

According to the 2024 Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) which contains rankings of universities in 55 subjects across Natural Sciences, Engineering, Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, and Social Sciences by Shanghai Ranking, the Cyprus University of Technology is among the top 201-300 academic institutions globally in the field of Nursing and holds the top position in Cyprus and Greece.

CUT is the only Greek-speaking university included in the Shanghai list, highlighting the uniqueness and international recognition of its Nursing Department. In the field of Nursing, this list ranks only the top 300 academic institutions worldwide.

The Nursing Department is ranked 3rd globally in the International Collaboration index, demonstrating the quality and breadth of its collaborations with other academic institutions and organisations. It is also ranked 56th worldwide in the Research Impact index, confirming the high-quality, internationally impactful research produced in the field of Nursing.

Of the top 300 Nursing Departments, more than half (176) are located in four countries, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and China. In Europe, only 60 universities from 13 countries are in the top 200, emphasising the significance of the department’s presence in the list.

It is noted that the Nursing Department of CUT has been included in the Shanghai list since 2018, confirming its steady path toward academic and research excellence. This international distinction reflects the efforts of the academic staff, students, and collaborators of the Department, solidifying its position in the international academic community and confirming its place as one of the leading academic departments in Cyprus and worldwide.
