New EDF 2023 Defence project for Cyprus-based SignalGeneriX

Cyprus-based technology R&D company and DSP & Communications expert SignalGeneriX is participating in the newly funded PASITHEA EDF 2022 project.

The project, which received €4 million funding under the SME call, aims to develop a Hybrid Autonomous Unmanned Vehicle (HAUV) combining Unmanned Aerial Vehicle and Unmanned Underwater Vehicle technologies. SignalGeneriX is participating as a technology provider and R&D partner.

According to a recent LinkedIn post from the company, “The vehicles will be able to fly, hover in the air and sail under the water and to repeat air water trans-media motions. The HAUV will be able to be launched, operated and controlled by land, sea, and air platforms and units. The project includes the design of a Command, Control, Communication and Intelligence system.”

PASITHEA consortium, which is coordinated by BALance Technology Consulting GmbH, includes the following organisations form Germany, Greece, Cyprus, Spain, Portugal and Romania: Maresco Ltd, SignalGeneriX Ltd, National Technical University of Athens, INOV, “Henri Coanda” Air Force Academy of Romania, Beia Consult International, Fundación Andaluza para el Desarrollo Aeroespacial, and ProteMarine Ltd, the post added.
