President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulides is travelling to Tivat, Montenegro, today, Friday, 5 June to participate in the EU–Western Balkans Summit, where discussions will focus on cooperation between the European Union and the countries of the region, as well as their European future.
According to a written statement of the Director of the President’s Press Office Victoras Papadopoulos, the summit will bring together leaders of EU member states and institutions, alongside leaders of partner countries from the Western Balkans.
The agenda includes a plenary session and a working lunch, during which participants are expected to discuss ways to further strengthen EU–Western Balkans relations, Papadopoulos said.
President Christodoulides is accompanied by Deputy Minister for European Affairs Marilena Raouna, the Director of the President’s Press Office, and government officials. The visit is scheduled to last one day, with the President expected to return later in the afternoon.
