Weekly working time in Cyprus at 37.7 hours in 2025, according to Eurostat

Cyprus recorded an average of 37.7 actual weekly working hours in 2025 for full-time and part-time workers aged 20 to 64, according to data published on Wednesday by Eurostat. Compared with 2015, when the average stood at 37.8 hours, the change is negligible.

According to the 2025 data, men in Cyprus worked an average of 39 hours per week, while women worked 36.3 hours.

Across the European Union, the average actual weekly working time for full-time and part-time workers stood at 35.9 hours in 2025, down from 36.9 hours in 2015, Eurostat reported.

The highest weekly working hours in the EU were recorded in Greece (39.6 hours), followed by Bulgaria and Poland (both 38.7 hours) and Lithuania (38.4 hours).

At the other end of the scale, the lowest averages were recorded in the Netherlands (31.9 hours), Denmark and Germany (both 33.9 hours), and Austria (34.0 hours).
