The role of Cyprus as a strategic gateway to European markets for Israeli businesses and investors was highlighted by Marios Tannousis, Chief Executive Officer of Invest Cyprus, speaking at the 8th Cyprus-Israel Business & Investment Summit, taking place today, Tuesday 20 October, in Tel Aviv.
At the heart of his presentation was Cyprus as a modern international business centre, offering access to the European Union single market and growth opportunities for companies seeking to expand their operations across Europe.
Mr Tannousis outlined the country’s key advantages as an investment destination, underlining its ability to attract both companies and individual entrepreneurs and professionals from Israel. In this context, Cyprus is emerging as a natural choice for corporate relocation, establishing a business presence and setting up regional headquarters.
Particular reference was made to Vision 2035, the Cypriot government’s long-term strategy for the economy and society. Its central aim is to establish Cyprus as one of the most attractive countries internationally in which to live, work and do business.
The strategy is linked to the development of a dynamic and competitive economy, with an emphasis on research, technological progress, innovation and entrepreneurship, while further strengthening the country’s position as a regional business and investment hub.
The summit in Tel Aviv forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen economic ties between Cyprus and Israel, creating a platform for entrepreneurs, investors and professionals to connect and highlighting opportunities for new partnerships, investments and the expansion of business activities into the European market.
