In a constructive working breakfast with media representatives, the Association of Cyprus Banks presented a view of its new strategy, turning a new page in the organisation's long history.
The Association's new Director General, Marios Skandalis, developed the organisation's action plan, which focuses on strengthening extroversion and building meaningful relationships with the social and business scene of the country.
Role expansion and impact strategy
The Association's new approach aims at a more active and influential role, through dialogue and proactive development of synergies. The aim is for the Association to be a reliable interlocutor that listens to the needs of the market and society and, above all, takes action.
"The Association of Cyprus Banks, based on its many years of contribution, is moving forward into a new chapter of activities. Our intention is clear: we want a more open organisation, one that seeks synergies with all social and economic partners," Skandalis noted.
A priority on collaborations and social dialogue
The presentation focused on the need for a multi-level action that goes beyond narrow banking boundaries and extends to:
- Cooperation with the State: Practical support for the State's work to strengthen the economy and maintain a good reputation, making the Association one of its most trusted and effective partners.
- Collaborations with Organisations: Closer contact with business and social organizations to promote common goals and initiatives.
- An Open Channel of Communication with Society: Strengthening relationships with borrowers, retirees, young people, consumers and other social groups, aiming for transparency and mutual understanding, making the Association a factor in activating society's goals.
Stability with a modern orientation
This new beginning seeks to become an evolution based on the experience of the past to meet the challenges of the present and the future. The Association remains committed to support the Cypriot economy and society through a modern, outgoing and responsible person.
