Cypriot entrepreneurs Christis Plastiras and Argyris Argyrou began their foray into the world of entrepreneurship at a time when the word “startup” didn’t even exit.
After plenty of trials, tribulations and indeed failures, they managed to establish two of the most successful companies in Cyprus: Plastiras is the man behind the job finding portal Ergodotisi Cyprus, and Argyrou the founder of food delivery platform Foody.
Speaking to Elena Georgiou Strouthos, CTO and Co-Founder of Cocoon Creations Services on the Trailblazers Podcast series by payabl., part of INSPIRE 2025, Plastiras and Argyrou talk about what it took to establish their startups; and life after exiting them.
When it comes down to it, they both agree on one thing: being a startup founder is not for everyone.
