City of Dreams Mediterranean went pink to promote breast cancer awareness and prevention

City of Dreams Mediterranean observed Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October with a series of initiatives highlighting the importance of early detection in improving treatment outcomes and saving lives.

At the heart of the initiatives was an awareness seminar for employees on 19 October, led by Dr. Stephanie Christodoulidou, Head of Psychological Services at Europa Donna Cyprus.  Titled “Supporting Our Loved Ones Through Their Journey with Breast Cancer”. The session focused on the importance of providing support to people affected by breast cancer, while reinforcing the message of awareness and proactive action.

City of Dreams Mediterranean also offered employees the opportunity to attend breast cancer screening appointments, as part of its broader initiatives promoting health and wellbeing.

Throughout October, The Lounge at City of Dreams Mediterranean curated a limited-edition “We Go Pink” menu, featuring specially created signature mocktails and desserts. All proceeds from the menu were donated to Europa Donna Cyprus, supporting the organisation’s work.

The resort also joined forces with Prestige Group supporting the campaign “DON’T PUT YOUR HEALTH ON HOLD”. Marking Breast Health Day on 15 October, the initiative aimed to highlight six key actions for better health and wellbeing: CHECK. KNOW. MOVE. NOURISH. REST. ACT. Through this collaboration, both organisations encouraged greater awareness, healthy everyday choices and the importance of regular health checks and screening.

City of Dreams Mediterranean Property General Manager, Grant Johnson, said, “Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an important opportunity to remind ourselves of the value of early detection but also of supporting one another. Through these initiatives, we

want to encourage our colleagues and guests to take an active role in this effort, while contributing to the valuable work of Europa Donna Cyprus. Supporting our people and the wider community remains an important part of our commitment.”
