Contracts signed for the installation of electric vehicle charging stations in Polis Chrysochous

Within the framework of the Transport Ministry's 'Electrokinisi me ta 1000' Grant Scheme, and with co-financing from the EU Recovery and Resilience Mechanism, the construction of two electric vehicle charging stations in the Municipality of Polis Chrysochous has been approved.

Additionally, according to a relevant announcement, the Municipality has decided to install three additional electric vehicle charging stations. One of the stations will have a fast charger with capabilities of at least 50KW DC.

The implementation of the project, which includes the installation, management and maintenance of the charging stations, will be carried out through an agreement with the Electricity Authority of Cyprus.

The agreement with the EAC was signed on 24 June, and the project is expected to be completed in the autumn.

According to the announcement, the locations for installing recharging stations are the Municipal Parking Lot at the Municipal Beach, the Municipal Parking Lot at the Baths of Aphrodite, the Municipal Parking Lot in Latchi, the Municipal Parking Lot opposite Moustakallis Restaurant, and the Municipal Parking Lot at Pomos Harbour.
