Tourism revenues recorded an annual increase of 7.8% in January, the Cyprus Statistical Service reported on Thursday.
Based on traveler survey results, tourism revenues in January 2026 amounted to €74.6 million, showing an increase of 7.8% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year (€69.2 million).
Per capita, tourist expenditure in amounted to €613.26, compared to €617.65 in January 2025, recording a decrease of 0.7%.
Tourists from Poland -the largest tourist group in Cuprus that month with 18.6%- spent an average of €72.81 per day.
Israeli tourists, the second largest tourist gop during January, with 18.1%, spent an average of €157.31.
Finally, tourists from the United Kingdom (third largest tourist group with 15.8%) spent €70.99 per day.
