Invest Cyprus confirms US AI firm Bcentriqe.ai plans strategic expansion to Cyprus

Invest Cyprus has confirmed that US-based artificial intelligence (AI) company Bcentriqe.ai has announced its strategic expansion into Cyprus, aiming to empower youth and entrepreneurs through cutting-edge AI solutions.

According to a press release issued by Invest Cyprus, the company’s decision underscores its commitment to training and hiring local talent in the fields of AI. The move is also intended to establish the island as a regional hub for AI-driven solutions and services connecting Greece, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Headquartered in Santa Clara, California, at the heart of Silicon Valley, Bcentriqe.ai is a global provider of AI solutions and consulting services. The company develops and delivers advanced AI technologies designed to help businesses transform, innovate, and thrive in an increasingly digital landscape.

As part of its investment in Cyprus, Bcentriqe.ai plans to set up a small office staffed with data engineers and AI professionals. This local team will collaborate with Cyprus’s talent pool to support training and recruitment efforts aimed at meeting the evolving needs of businesses and accelerating upskilling initiatives within the country’s workforce.

The decision was welcomed by Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy Nicodemos Damianou, Chief Scientist Demetris Skourides, Invest Cyprus Chairman Evgenios Evgeniou, High Commissioner of India to Cyprus Shri Manish, U.S. Embassy Chargé d’Affaires in Nicosia Dan Munch and Bcentriqe.ai CEO Alakh Verma.
