President discusses prospects of Amazon's substantial participation in Cyprus' digital ecosystem (video)

President Nikos Christodoulides has met with Amazon 's Senior Vice President of Devices and Services, Cypriot Panos Panay, and discussed the prospect of Amazon's substantial participation in Cyprus' digital ecosystem and the strengthening of its Research and Development (R&D) activities.

Government Spokesman, Konstantinos Letymbiotis, said in a post on X, that they discussed Cyprus' efforts to accelerate the country's digital transformation, and in particular, to gain expertise on infrastructure, including small-scale data centers and cloud technologies.

They also discussed the prospect of Amazon's substantial participation in our country's digital ecosystem and the strengthening of its Research and Development (R&D) activities, taking advantage of the high level of scientific expertise available in the country, as well as its innovation-friendly regulatory and tax environment, he added.
