Christodoulides meets with NVIDIA official in the US

As part of his engagements in the United States, President Nikos Christodoulides met with the Global Vice President of Sales and Business Development for HPC/Supercomputing at NVIDIA, John Josephakis.

As Government Spokesman Konstantinos Letymbiotis noted in a social media post, “NVIDIA is currently one of the world’s leading companies in its field, with a pivotal role in the development and operation of Artificial Intelligence systems and Data Centers.”

According to Letymbiotis, the discussion focused on the prospects of cutting-edge advanced technologies and strengthening Cyprus’ presence in the fields of innovation and technology in the Eastern Mediterranean.

“Engaging with top executives from the global tech ecosystem, such as Jpsephakis, aligns with the Government’s strategy to boost its international presence and build strong alliances in the area of technological transition and innovation,” Letymbiotis said

He concluded, “The President of the Republic expressed his appreciation for Mr. Josephakis’ career and contributions, recognizing him as a distinguished member of the Cypriot diaspora. They agreed to maintain open channels of communication with the aim of further exploring potential collaborations that would support Cyprus’ path toward achieving its developmental goal of technological advancement.”
