Shipping Deputy Minister says Cyprus' fleet increased by 18% since 2023

Deputy Minister of Shipping, Marina Hadjimanolis has highlighted the importance of the  increase of Cyprus fleet by 18% from September 2023 to date.

She was speaking during a recent dinner she hosted in Athens, to mark the second anniversary since Nikos Christodoulides' government assumed office.

According to a press release issued by the Deputy Ministry of Shipping, Hadjimanolis, paid a visit to Athens on 26-28 March.

It is noted that the dinner which she hosted was attended by the entire shipping community of Greece, "demonstrating the long-standing and steady support for the Cypriot ship registry and Cypriot shipping in general."

In her speech, the Deputy Minister of Shipping gave a brief account of the work of the Ministry of Shipping, noting in particular the importance of the increase of the Cypriot fleet by 18% from September 2023 to date. She also underlined the firm commitment of the government and President Christodoulides, to further develop and strengthen the shipping sector and shield the competitiveness of Cyprus shipping.

It is noted that during her stay in Athens, Hadjimanolis held a series of meetings with shipowners and representatives of shipping companies, with the aim of strengthening cooperation and promoting the Cypriot ship registry.
