Natasa Pilides appointed Chief Executive Officer of Med Energywise Ltd

Med Energywise Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Petrolina (Holdings) Public Limited, has announced the appointment of Natasa Pilides as its Chief Executive Officer.

Pilides brings extensive experience in energy, commerce, and industry, having served as the Republic of Cyprus’s Minister of Energy, Commerce, and Industry from July 2020 to March 2023. Before her ministerial role, she was the first Deputy Minister of Shipping of the Republic of Cyprus and previously served as Director General of Invest Cyprus, the government agency responsible for investment promotion.

Her appointment comes at a pivotal time following Med Energywise Ltd’s agreement to acquire the downstream business of ExxonMobil Cyprus Limited, which operates in the retail fuel sector, including the supply, distribution, and marketing of petroleum products across its service station network. With her extensive public and private sector expertise, Pilides is well-positioned to lead the company’s strategic growth and further strengthen its presence in the Cypriot energy sector.

The commencement of Pilides’ tenure is subject to Med Energywise Ltd obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals for the acquisition of ExxonMobil Cyprus Limited.
