EIB and CEB officials coming to Nicosia to sign loans for new Archaeological Museum

The Vice President of the European Investment Bank (EIB) Kyriakos Kakouris and the Deputy Governor of the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) Tomáš Boček will pay an official visit to Cyprus, on Thursday, 27 February, to sign loan agreements for the construction of the new Archaeological Museum in Nicosia.

According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Finance, the main objective of the visit is the signing of loan agreements worth €72 million with each Bank for the financing of the new Archaeological Museum in Nicosia.

The signing ceremony, which will take place at the Ministry of Finance, will be attended by, among others, the Minister of Finance, Makis Keravnos, the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, Alexis Vafeades, as well as the Deputy Minister of Culture, Vasiliki Kassianidou.

On the occasion of his visit, EIB Vice President Kyriakos Kakouris (pictured above) will also present the financial results of the EIB Group for the year 2024, the press release said.
