Projects worth over €100m planned for Polis Chrysochous in the second half of the year

Polis Chrysochous will become something of a construction site in the second half of 2025, says Mayor Yiotis Papachristofi, since, as he notes, projects worth over €100 million are expected to be carried out in the district.

In statements to CNA, Papachristofi mentioned that many projects will be in progress, such as the sewage system, the port, the centre of Polis Chrysochous, the centre of Prodromi, the construction of an amphitheatre, a camping site a scenic park, projects in the communities of Neo Chorio, Drousia and Kritou Terra, a pedestrian walkway from Argaka to Pomos, as well as the project to interconnect the archaeological sites of Marios and Arsinoe in Polis Chrysochous. As the Mayor of Polis Chrysochous stated, in this specific project, in addition to fences and corridors, shelters will be constructed and signs will be placed to inform visitors.

Papachristofi stated that these are projects that have matured and are expected to begin and be executed from the second half of 2025 until the second half of 2026, while, as he said, the Local Authority is also accelerating the maturation of projects in the other municipal districts of the Municipality of Polis Chrysochous.
