President Christodoulides to meet with UAE leader in Abu Dhabi

The Cyprus issue, the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean and bilateral relations will be among the topics that President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulides will discuss with the President of the United Arab Emirates, in Abu Dhabi.

A written statement by Government Spokesman Konstantinos Letymbiotis says that the President of the Republic, following an invitation, departs for the United Arab Emirates on 11 September, where in the afternoon he will have a meeting with the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, at the Presidential Palace, in Abu Dhabi.

Among the topics of discussion will be the developments regarding the Cyprus issue, the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean region, bilateral relations and the prospects of cooperation in the fields of  energy, economy and investments.

President Christodoulides will return to Cyprus on 12 September. 

He will be accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Constantinos Kombos, the Government Spokesperson, Deputy Minister of European Affairs, Marilena Raouna and Director of the Diplomatic Office of the President, Doros Venezis.
