President discusses Cyprus issue with Keir Starmer

President Nikos Christodoulides held a telephone conversation with the UK’s Prime Minister Keir Starmer this week, during which they discussed the Cyprus issue, bilateral relations and the latest developments in the Eastern Mediterranean region.

According to a post on ‘X’ by Government Spokesman Konstantinos Letymbiotis, the two leaders discussed the latest developments in the Cyprus issue and the efforts made by President Christodoulides to resume substantive negotiations, aimed at resolving the Cyprus issue on the basis of the relevant UN resolutions and EU principles and values. They also discussed bilateral relations, as well as the latest developments in the Eastern Mediterranean region, the post reads.
