“I would give up all my wealth to take Cyprus back,” John Christodoulou tells The Sun

Speaking to The Sun newspaper and portal on the 50th Anniversary of the Turkish Invasion of Cyprus, John Christodoulou said, “I would give up all my wealth to take Cyprus back.”

In the interview, Christodoulou, the renowned property developer who fled Cyprus as a child during the Turkish invasion in 1974, recounts his harrowing experiences, the squatting of his homeland and the enduring impact of that tragic period, an announcement from his press office notes.

“The interview delves into his memories of the invasion, the challenges his family faced, and his reflections on the ongoing division of our island. Mr. Christodoulou's story is a poignant reminder of the resilience of those who lived through these events and the enduring hope for reunification,” the announcement said, adding that Christodoulou, “remains committed to making the truth known to the entire world and continues to advocate for the reunification (of) and freedom for Cyprus.”
