Orthodoxou Aviation Ltd. appointed General Sales Agent of Air India in Cyprus

Orthodoxou Aviation Ltd has been appointed as the General Sales Agent (GSA) of Air India in Cyprus to manage the marketing and sales activities of the airline in the Cypriot market.

Air India is India’s leading global carrier and a member of Star Alliance. Air India connects 39 cities across five continents with non-stop flights to India, including multiple points in the USA, Europe, Middle East, Asia Pacific, and Australia. The airline also flies to 45 cities, covering the length and breadth of India.

The CEO of Orthodoxou Aviation Ltd, Antonis Orthodoxou, said about this cooperation: "I am very proud and honoured to announce that Orthodoxou Aviation Ltd has become Air India’s General Sales Agent for passenger sales in Cyprus. Air India is navigating through a major five-year transformation roadmap with an ambition to become a world-class airline with an Indian heart, expanding in scale & size and modernising its products, service, and overall passenger experience. The airline has started receiving deliveries from its record-setting orders for 470 aircraft from Airbus and Boeing, including the Airbus A350 aircraft with world-class cabin products and is set to commence a US$400 million program for complete refurbishment of the interiors of its legacy widebody fleet. This initiative will involve the installation of brand-new seats in every cabin and new inflight entertainment systems, among other changes.

Air India operates non-stop flights to Delhi from nine points in seven countries in Europe, namely Amsterdam (Netherlands), Birmingham (UK), Copenhagen (Denmark), Frankfurt (Germany), London Gatwick and London Heathrow (UK), Milan (Italy), Paris (France), and Vienna (Austria).
