UNFICYP welcomes new Commander

The UN Secretary General's Special Representative in Cyprus and head of the UN peacekeeping force on the island (UNFICYP) Colin Stewart welcomed on 5 February the UNFICYP Force Commander, Major General Erdenebat Batsuuri of Mongolia, the UN in Cyprus said in a post on platform X, wishing the new Commander all the best in this assignment.

Moreover, the UN in Cyprus said in another post that UNFICYP held a flag-raising ceremony for Mongolia. As it is noted Stewart, together with senior management and peacekeepers welcomed the Troop Contributing Country with the arrival of the new Force Commander, Major Gen Erdenebat Batsuuri.
