Nearchos Petrides named Young Entrepreneur at CBN Young Dragon Awards

Nearchos Petrides, CEO at Ellinas Finance has been named the Young Dragon in the Young Entrepreneur category at the first CBN Young Dragon Awards.

Petrides was awarded during a ceremony at Nicosia’s Municipal Theatre on 2 December.

Nearchos Petrides, the CEO of Ellinas Finance Public Company Ltd since 2019, joined the firm as an Executive Officer, managing a lending portfolio of €14 million. He later led the firm’s Business Development strategy and, by 2017, had expanded its factoring business under the “Tech-Enabled Smart Factoring” brand, making it Cyprus’ only independent factoring solutions provider.

Following his appointment as CEO in 2019, he guided the firm’s digital transformation, launching the “Fast E-Loan” service in 2020 and “GoGet,” Cyprus' first Buy-Now-Pay-Later service in 2021, which has transformed consumer behaviour. In 2023, he launched Ellinas Insurance Brokers. Under his leadership, Ellinas Finance’s active loan portfolio has grown to €25 million, with the goal of reaching €35 million by 2025 and €50 million by 2028.
