The aim is for Cyprus to become regional technology hub, Skourides says

Chief Scientist for Research, Innovation and Technology of the Republic of Cyprus, Demetris Skourides, has said that the National Strategic Goal is to turn Cyprus into a regional technology hub. 

Skourides was speaking during a recent visit he paid to the facilities of the company Dynamic Works, as part of his ongoing initiative to enhance productivity and innovation, with the aim of ensuring the maximization of the impact of grants and strengthening relationships with key partners.

According to an official press release, Dynamic Works is one of the eight companies that received grants under the framework of the Research and Innovation Foundation’s Disrupt programme, with the prospect of creating innovative solutions in software development technologies for the financial sector.

At the meeting, Skourides analysed  the National Strategic Goal to make Cyprus a regional technology hub and highlighted the opportunities offered by the Disrupt programme, in order for the company to become a digital “ambassador” of Cypriot innovation abroad.
