With an opening date for this year anticipated to be announced soon, Amyth of Nicosia is described as a beautifully restored villa with 10 bedrooms and suites, and is located in the historic Old City of Nicosia, within the medieval Venetian walls.

Dating back to the early 1900s, the hotel’s interiors retain centuries of traditional details. Original tiled floors, a grand staircase, decorative walls and frescoed ceilings add historical charm to amenities including a bar and restaurant with an al fresco dining courtyard and water feature, according to Thanos Hotels & Resorts.

Amyth of Nicosia is situated at 29 Patriarchou Gregoriou Street, just metres from the Archbishopric of Cyprus and its Museum of Byzantine Art, and opposite the Mansion of Kornesios Hadjigeorgakis, which houses the Cyprus Ethnological Museum.

Within just a few minutes' walk are Byzantine churches, ancient stone alleyways, and a vibrant modern community of galleries, coffee shops, quirky bars, and design ateliers – including one of Thanos Hotels’ Kult boutiques.

“To a soundtrack of ancient church bells, Amyth of Nicosia offers a unique opportunity to absorb the atmospheric appeal of Old Nicosia and experience the Cyprus beyond the beaches,” Thanos Hotels & Resorts says.

Amyth of Nicosia will join the five-star Anassa in Polis Chrysochous, and Almyra and Annabelle in Paphos. Thanos Hotels & Resorts also operates Amyth Mykonos on the Greek island and provides consultancy services to Berengaria Hotel, which is currently being restored in Prodromos.

The company’s portfolio also includes Antasia, a mixed-use development in Paphos, and Antasia Beach Club in Kato Paphos. Its private sister retail company Kult, meanwhile, exclusively imports and retails luxury branded goods into the Cyprus market through its boutique stores.
