Cyprus Integrity Forum meets with FinMin Makis Keravnos

The Cyprus Integrity Forum (CIF) recently met with the Minister of Finance, Makis Keravnos, with an agenda of issues related to important issues related to the organisation's mission.

During the 24 August meeting, CIF President Marios Skandalis, presented the organisation's work and mission and thanked the Minister of Finance for the long-term cooperation with the Ministry and him personally, a CIF announcement said.

Skandalis mentioned the most important events that have taken place to date, with an emphasis on the constructive collaborations that have been established with international and local organisations and emphasised the dedication of the members of the Board of Directors to their mission, which is none other than the fight against rampant corruption in the country and the further promotion of transparency.

In addition, issues related to the effective control and management of the General Healthcare System (Gesy) were discussed towards confirming its viability, along with the adoption of the already approved Public Administration Code in all government units, for further cooperation between the Ministry of Finance and the CIF was agreed on.

The members of the CIF delegation also presented the Minister with the Business Practice Manifesto, which was drawn up following a round table meeting with the 12 members of the Business Integrity Forum programme in Cyprus and explained the benefits that a business member of the programme can enjoy. The Minister expressed his pleasure about this programme, which contributes significantly to the adoption of business ethics by congratulating the 12 member companies in Cyprus who voluntarily participate in it, the CIF announcement concluded.
