CSM-managed oil or LNG ship fuels up in Rotterdam

Dual-Fuel tanker Pacific Coral, which is managed by Columbia Shipmanagement (CSM) and can use oil or liquefied natural gas (LNG) as fuel, underwent its bunkering operation in Rotterdam this week.
Employing LNG as a fuel source allows for a drastic reduction of CO2, NOx, SOx and particulate matter emissions in line with the industry's decarbonisation efforts, Limassol-based CSM said. “Not only will this fuel flexibility ensure compliance with emission regulations in controlled areas, but it will also give operators the advantage of determining the right fuel choice according to cost and availability.”
