Green light for new office tower near Limassol Marina (pics)

The Environmental Authority has given its approval for the construction and operation of a new 11-storey office development in Limassol, near the Marina.

More specifically, the development is to be built on plots of land with a total area of ​​3,817 sq.m. which adjoinMisiaouli & Kavazoglou Street and are located within the "Arnautogeitonia" parish within the administrative boundaries of the Municipality of Limassol, at a distance of 750 meters southeast of Limassol Marina.

According to the building's owners, Costa Palona Ltd., the completion time of the proposed development is estimated at 24 months, assuming that there will not be any delays due to various internal or external factors.

What it will include

The development concerns the construction of a tall building of 11 floors and a total height of 48.05 meters.

Specifically, the levels of the building (floors) will consist of the following areas:

  • An underground space with two levels.
  • Ground floor space.
  • Mezzanine.
  • Offices (1st - 11th floor).
  • A Roof Garden with a swimming pool.
  • Green spaces.

The purpose of the development

According to the Environmental Study, the purpose of the project is to cover part of the labuor needs of the area of ​​the Municipality of Limassol. It is also expected that with its operation, the project will create new jobs and further strengthen the region, strengthening its socio-economic character.

The position of the Environmental Authority

It is noted that, for this particular development, a public consultation was conducted.

The Environmental Authority on 14 August gave its approval for the construction of the project under specific terms and conditions which are mentioned in the official opinion it provided.
