Mercure: Doubling its presence in Cyprus with a new hotel Larnaca

Accor is further consolidating its presence in Cyprus, with a new Mercure hotel due to open on the Phoinikoudes seafront promenade in Larnaca next year.

The Mercure City Hotel is expected to open its doors to the public in the second quarter of 2024, and will thus be the second hotel of the well-known mid-scale hotel chain, after the Mercure Beach Resort, located in Voroklini.

Drawing strength and know-how from Mercure's international network, and combined with the authentic local hospitality experience, the new hotel promises its guests an impeccable blend of comfort and style. Located in a prime and bustling location just five minutes' walk from the famous Phoinikoudes beach, Mercure City Hotel will cater to both business and leisure travelers.

With 42 rooms and six suites, the hotel aims to meet the different needs of its customers. It will also offer high-level services, such as a rooftop pool, a unique sky bar overlooking the city of Larnaca, as well as a modern gym.

A wide variety of meals drinks and smoothies
F&B has an important place in the second Mercure hotel in Larnaca, which will include a branch of the Smoothie Factory. Located on the ground floor of the hotel, it will extend onto the pedestrian street of the city, and will offer a wide variety of meals, drinks and smoothies to hotel guests, as well as visitors.

"We are very excited that the Mercure City Hotel will be the second hotel of the Mercure chain in Cyprus, and we are also grateful to our partner Solaar Hospitality, for its passion for Cyprus, its entrepreneurial spirit and its trust in Accor, in this second project. We look forward to the hotel opening and writing a new chapter for Accor on the island of Aphrodite," noted Cristina De Oliveira-Frewen, Accor COO Franchise Operations Europe & North Africa for Premium, Midscale and Economy brands.
